Scroll My Favorite MICHAEL Michael Kors Items from Nordstrom Below!
So I am kindof obsessed with wearing white…
…and its not something that I ever apologize for! I know a lot of y’all don’t think wearing head to toe white is acceptable before Easter or after Labor Day, but breaking fashion rules is fun, right?! But one thing that is important to know about wearing all white is that your accessories will make or break the look…and luckily for me, the accessories department at Nordstrom always comes to the rescue!
During a recent (bi-weekly) trip to the mall last week, Nordstrom and I had a MAH-JOR moment: Not only did I do a little (okay, ALOT) of damage in their designer shoe department, but it was actually this miniature MICHAEL Michael Kors satchel from the handbag department that had me at hello! White, black, and saddle leather?! Kindof a no brainer purchase, right?! And I also knew that this item would be the perfect accent to my spring a summer crisp, white looks!
Let’s just say, Nordstrom knows what they’re doing when it comes to accessories…and closet is SUPER grateful 😉
What’s your favorite way to spruce up an all white look?

Basics are something that any closet can’t live without. They are what outfits are built around. They are what you reach for on those days you just don’t want to get dressed. And they are the utmost essentials to any good wardrobe.
Express continues to impress me….not only with their season trend pieces….but with their inexpensive, go-to basics (remember these boyfriend jeans?!). And they have done it again with their new line of oh-so-soft-and-broken-in tees for Spring. Not only have I been living in this long sleeve white tee every single day for the past week (ps. it gets softer and softer with every wash!) but I’ve also given my traditional white and blue denim a run for their money with these new gray jeans. Distressed, check. Perfect fit, check. Inexpensive, check.
These Express basics….well, they’re actually no so basic after all! The collection is selling out quickly, so shop HERE to get yours now…and new styles will be arriving the beginning of June!

And throughout both of those collections, there was one piece that just held on for dear life: The Courtney Bib. Its been one of the best sellers for Bauble Bar for over 2 years….so we thought maybe we should revisit this piece?!
Its been nothing but rain, snow, sleet, and ice here in Dallas lately….which is highly unusual for the first week of March!
This gloomy weather has translated into my wardrobe….I find myself wanting to dress in black from head to toe, and topped with a beanie or a fedora (A. Because I don’t want to get my hair wet, and B. Because I’m quite frankly too lazy to wash my hair and do it up when the weather is gross!)
But one night, I wanted to feel sexy and sassy….but despite my dark mood, I still reached for black, mixing some of my favorite go to pieces: an oversized, chunky sweater, leather shorts, over the knee boots, a perfect calf hair clutch, and a cozy beanie…..and of course, lets not forget the red lip!
Is it just me, or does the weather totally affect your fashion mood?
The old saying is always true: Practice makes perfect. Athletes stay in shape and go to the gym. Actors will rehearse.
But fashion bloggers…how do we stay “in shape” with our career and practice so that we can become better at what we do? WE PLAY IN OUR CLOSETS AND PRACTICE “NEW LOOKS” so that we can share the with our readers!
Recently on a cold and dreary day in NYC at The Empire hotel, I did just that. I was finding myself kindof “stuck” with what I brought in my suitcase, so I dedicated a couple hours to mixing, remixing, matching, and rematching a couple looks. I also played around with some new makeup colors, as well as this new half up, half down top knot!
Have you dug around in your closet or makeup drawers lately and found some new inspiration?!
Believe it or not, there was a time in my life where I wore a suit to work almost every single day….and I felt like a BOSS.
There’s a reason a well-tailored suit is nicknamed the “power suit,” because when you put one on, you immediately feel like you could conquer the world. And although a lot has changed from the day I first put on my first 2 piece suit, one thing that hasn’t changed is where I buy them.
If I were to ask any of my girlfriends where they bought their first pair of black slacks, or their first blazer, undoubtedly, they would respond that they went to Express. And 10 years later…most of them still are. Whether it was the perfect fit of the Editor Pants, or the great shape of their suit jackets, Express has figured out how to make a sharp looking power suit….and they know it ultimately comes down to one thing: the fit.
I’ve spend hundreds on dollars searching for the end all, be all….the well fitting pant. Y’all know me…the shopaholic…I’ve tried them all on! But I always return to Express. I don’t know if its how they hug me in all the right places, or that Express offers most of their pants in multiple lengths (styling tip: sometimes I buy the ankle length to achieve a cropped look!), but they just work. And there’s something to be said for that…can I get an “amen?!”
But of course, and without fail, one thing that is guaranteed to never be overpowering about the power suits of Express is their price tag! Which probably also explains why I keep going back for more!
Do you own power suit yet?!

I’ve always got my eyes on the lookout for unique pieces that make a BIG STATEMENT.
Maybe it’s a necklace, or a pair of shoes, or a brightly colored bag. But in this case, it’s a faux pony hair printed jacket by French Connection! I made a pit stop at their Soho shop while I was in NYC for fashion week, and the second I laid eyes on this jacket, I knew it had found a new warm home….on my body!
And while I was braving the cold weather of the Northeast, adding another great, statement making outerwear piece to my wardrobe seemed like a total no brainer!
Year after year at New York Fashion Week the styles and the trends continue to change, but one thing that is always consistent is The Empire Hotel and the role it plays in the success of my week spent in NYC!
A large majority of the fashion shows during NYFW take place at Lincoln Center…which conveniently for me, is just a quick dart across the street from my hotel of choice, making the task of rushing from show, to across town, and then back to a show, way too easy for me! (And of course, taking a quick cocktail meeting in between shows to sip on a martini at the hotel bar is always a plus, too!)
Hell, if The Empire Hotel was good enough for Chuck Bass, then it’s a perfect fit for me.
