So back in November I was named the Celebrity Affiliate Ambassador for Dress for Success, an organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Dress For Success made this exciting announcement at their annual Lucky Lonestar Casino Night….and that evening, I made a HUGE MISTAKE: I wore this dress pictured below…
Pictured with FC Dallas Soccer Player, Daniel Hernandez (Sorry gals, he’s married!)
Here’s the flaw in the plan: I got TONS of feedback about where this black & white chevron dress was from, where y’all could buy it, etc….but sadly, I had snatched it up months prior at a tiny little boutique when i was traveling and couldn’t find it anywhere online. I ended up feeling incredibly awful that I wore something that y’all couldn’t buy (oh, the shame). I have always tried to post pics that I could offer similar options for in the case the original item wasn’t available, but when it came to this dress….I HAD NOTHING…I had failed as a blogger!
WELL, ITS YOUR LUCKY DAY.
While I was shopping online the other day (how shocking!), I stumbled upon the infamous chevron dress! HALLELUJAH, its a retail miracle. So, you’re welcome and enjoy! And most importantly, I’m not a total failure as a blogger
Here it is in black & white (what I wore) and here it is in royal blue & white (adorable option for summer paired with red!)

I have this same dress and LOVE it. I like how you paired it with fun stockings and booties!!! The only problem for me: it is very static-y and I’m curious if you have the same problem with yours?? I can’t figure out how to make it stop sticking to me!!!
LOVE LOVE the new blog – and you
I wore a black Spanx bodysuit (like one that is strapless with a built in bra and mini dress…its a miracle worker) underneath it and that seemed to fix that problem for me.
Thank you, I’ll have to try a bodysuit like that!
This dress as well as other fabulous chevron dresses can be found at shopoliveonline.com!!!
It is also currently available in a few colors at http://www.shopsosie.com. And not sold out in small sizes yet!
Have you ever blogged about your earrings in that picture? I LOVE them!
The earrings are about 10 years old, but I will keep my eyes peeled for some that are similar.
HI courtney!! love this outfit! and if you don’t mind me asking, what size are you wearing? because with bigger shirts or dresses, it is always hard to tell online
… thank you!
I took a medium because I wanted it looser and to fit more like a shift dress. When ordering online, I generally size up bc I figure if it doesn’t fit, I can always tailor it to my liking for a small fee.
I have this dress and love it…….
Any suggestions on how to style it for spring or fall? I can rock the tights and books look in the colder months, but on a cool spring day that just won’t do. I have it mentally categorized as a winter dress……which may be close minded of me.
