Let’s Play Ball

Dress: c/o Threadsence; Button Down: Ralph Lauren; Hi-Tops: c/o Dorothy Perkins; Bag: Michael Kors; Hat: From a visit to the NYLO Hotel; Chain Link Necklace: Bauble Bar; Ice Triad Necklace: Bauble Bar; Watch: Michael Kors; Initial Thread Bracelet: Urban Outfitters; Cross Thumb Ring: House of Harlow

When it comes to sports, I am kindof useless.  Although I cheered all through high school and throughout college, and know the difference between offense and defense, I will never be one of those girls who is dying to go to a sports bar and watch games all night.  And I will never be one of those girls who can rattle off sports knowledge to try to impress a guy.

Now although I’m no “sportsanista,” there are some things that positively catch my attention regarding sports:

  • Aaron Rogers, QB of the Green Bay Packers (We met once during Superbowl weekend in Dallas and I am pretty sure it was love at first sight….even though I could barely formulate a sentence and was basically a mute. Aaron, I miss you!)
  • Baseball Pants (Need I say more?!)
  • Basically any fitted athletic apparel
  • Hot foreign soccer players

So because I never really get the urge to attend sporting events, I really don’t own any sporting event-esque attire (don’t even get me started on polyester jerseys!)…but luckily, when recently invited to a game, this baseball sleeve dress and these metallic hi-top sneakers came to my rescue.  I layered them up with my favorite button down, popped that collar, slapped on some obnoxious amounts of jewelry, grabbed my favorite go to bag of the moment, and it was GAME TIME!

And once I got to the field, or court, or whatever it was called, I found the team with the cutest players and that’s who I cheered for.

While I do love me a good sports bar, it’s mainly for the food and drinks.
I went to my first rodeo in college. I wore yellow flats and obscene amount of jewelry. And I would’t walk in the mud because I didn’t want my shoes ruined so i had to piggy back to my seat.
Cheers to being That girl! :)

This would be a lot better without the hat. Not cute!

I don’t think I could rock this look nearly as well as you do. But I do love it on you, especially that bag. Amazing.

P.S. I share your love of Aaron Rodgers (I’m a Packers fan since birth). It’s good to know your taste in men is as good as your taste in clothes.

  5. I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE those sneakers!

Pretty sure those are the most hideous shoes I’ve seen to date.

  7. Love! Thanks to Minka Kelly, I’ve always been into the dressed-up baseball hat thing — and you maaay have just inspired me to actually go for it :) Have a great weekend!

You have the prettiest hair! And this outfit is cute on you. I never would have thought to pair all of that together for a game…that’s what’s great about what you do!

I have been admiring your style since you were on MED but I have never taken the time to comment. Today I am compelled – this look is KILLER. I am that girl who has season baseball tickets and just generally loves sports but refuses to buy standard team apparel. This outfit would allow me to go to the game looking stylish AND sporty instead of wearing those silly baby-sized jerseys every other girl wears. Thank you for the inspiration!

I surprising love this although not brave enough to try. Everything looks awesome but would love to see it minus the long sleeve white shirt. You look better not soo covered. Love ya!!!
