Ready or not, here the heat comes! Dallas weather is on the cusp of “miserable heat,” which means gals are cleaning out the closets, moving the leather and the fur to the back, and filling empty space with shorts, linen, white jeans, and wedges.

Yes, ladies….’Tis the season: SHORTS SEASON.

So go get your spray tan, shave those legs, do a couple extra lunges, and find the sassiest wedges you can….because as the temperatures continue to rise, well, so do the hemlines

One of the coolest perks of getting to co-host “D: The Broadcast” every morning is that I get to meet some pretty legit folks….Enter: Nikki Reed.

You probably most likely remember her from the “Twilight” saga where she played opposite the likes of Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kellan Lutz as a member of the blood-sucking Cullen family.  Or you might also know that she has an album and is married to fellow musician and “American Idol” contestant, Paul McDonald.

But did you know that this accomplished actress can now add jewelry designer to her resume? Miss Reed has recently launched a 5 piece collection for 7 For All Mankind, which was inspired by the denim lines’ current collection.  Nikki, who told me that she loves the personal storytelling that comes along with jewelry, wanted the price point to stay fairly inexpensive so it could be accessible to any range of customers.  The collection starts at $48 and no piece costs more than $80….stylish and wallet friendly?! Sounds like Nikki is a woman after my own heart!
