At first glance, Courtney Kerr is quickly recognized for her larger than life personal style: It’s playful, it’s fun, and its full of her sassy personality. Since a young age, this outspoken Dallasite has spent most of her life eating, sleeping, and breathing fashion…so much so that she has dedicated her new found career as a style blogger to chronicling her day to day wardrobe on her well know website, “What Courtney Wore.” From her style do’s and don’t, to her unfiltered look on life, Kerr’s unique take on style is one that readers certainly find as a breath of fresh air.
Since leaving her longtime career as a retail shopgirl in August of 2012 and venturing into the world of blogging, brands have been eager to work with Courtney. She has done partnerships with Piperlime, Clarisonic, Michele Watched, Nine West, Macy’s, The Outnet, and CUSP for Neiman Marcus, to name a few. In May 2013, Courtney launched a much anticipated collaboration with the online fashion jeweler, Bauble Bar, with a 22 piece collection that fashionistas couldn’t wait to get their hands on, as many pieces sold out within hours. In May 2014, she launched another jewelry, this time co-designing a collection with jeweler Gorjana. Since then, she has collaborated with Bauble Bar 3 more times to relaunch some of their best selling pieces.
In addition to style expert, tastemaker, and blogger, Kerr has also added talk show host to her resume. In February 2013, Dallas’ Emmy award winning station, KTXD-TV, launched the daily 2 hour live morning talk show, “The Broadcast.” Courtney brings a fresh approach to the the panel of 4 opinionated women with her modern spin as not only the youngest host, but also as the only single gal. As a girl who is never at a loss for words, this new venture has allowed Courtney to show fans that she’s got the brains to compete with her big hair and big closet. “The Broadcast” has been so well received by audiences in Dallas, gaining the top ratings spot in morning television, that as of October 2013 it went syndicated across the entire Lone Star state. In addition to television, Courtney has recently also been hired by CBS Radio’s Dallas station, 103.7 KVIL, to host “Leigh Ann & Courtney Kerr: Uncorked.” As of now, Courtney and her co-host have THE ONLY all female drive home show in the country, and are currently holding the largest DFW female listening audience, discussing everything from celebrity gossip, to relationships ,& sex during their daily 4 hour talk show.
Miss Kerr is also widely recognized for her role in Bravo TV’s 2011 docu-drama, “Most Eligible Dallas,” which eventually led to a spinoff show, “Courtney Loves Dallas.” It premiered on Bravo TV Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 9pm CST. “Courtney Loves Dallas” followed Courtney as she discovered that it’s not as easy as it looks when it comes to juggling it all: Her brand new career in fashion blogging and television hosting, her relationships with her 3 best girlfriends, her mother’s cancer battle, and the possibility of rekindling a romance with a former boyfriend.
Courtney, 33, resides in a fashionably decorated Dallas high-rise, and when she isn’t playing dress up in her closet & going 100mph in designer heels, she can be found eating tex-mex, drinking martinis, or traveling the world with her restauranteur boyfriend, or playing fetch with her furry best friend, a female 4 year old rescue pit bull, who is appropriately named “Fancy.”
