Mixing prints is a concept I am no stranger to….in all actuality, its become a game I like to play with myself: How far can I push the envelope with 2 prints and how extreme can I get without looking like a fool….that’s the game!

And a lot of y’all have reached out to me asking to share tips on how you can also mix prints in your closet….and to be honest, there isn’t a strict rhyme or reason, here is a general outline regarding my through process:

  • Start with 2 coordinating prints (think same color scheme)
  • Chose one big print and one small print, or
  • Chose prints that are opposites (think stripes and flowers or leopard and camo)

But printed shoes, like the Sole Society ones I am wearing, allow for a lot of versatility because you can ultimately treat them like a neutral and pair them with tons of different options (the same way you would treat a printed bag!).  And when it comes to experimenting with printed shoes, it sure it a lot easier to justify an experiment when the price tag only reads $69.95, right?!

Do you have any tips when it comes to print mixing?

Let me start by saying this is not a creepy, fan cry for attention. The outfit is Great! Love! I know this is the comment section. I hope you read this. Single Mom of 2; your age. I’ve been styling my friends for yrs. Live in South Louisiana. I’ve been following you since “most eligible Dallas.” Matt = clueless. I get told or asked about my clothes, shoes, whatever around town, New Orleans, wherever on a daily basis. I know where my passion is and have the shoes alone to start a business. I’m trying to do something cool for me and my boys. Basically, I need some advice/help. You seem relatable, and, honestly, like someone I’d actually want to know. I’ve spoken to your friends a little at a piece of toast. I don’t know how to get started. Sorry to use your comment section. I didn’t know what else to do. If you only go so far as reading this, Thanks. – Julie
